Results of the 2024 Croner Entertainment Survey

The results of the annual Croner Entertainment Survey show that entertainment jobs experienced moderate compensation growth this year. The report provides comprehensive compensation data for entertainment jobs, including film, television, music, digital and other entertainment such as live events and theme parks. It includes data for positions at all organizational levels, from executive to hourly, across a broad range of job families.

In the recently published results of the 2024 Croner Entertainment Survey, we observed these noteworthy insights about compensation data for entertainment jobs:

  • All organization-level categories in entertainment jobs experienced moderate compensation growth in base salaries from 2023 to 2024. Short-term incentives were, on average, below both 2023 and 2022 levels for all organization levels.
  • Growth in base salaries was moderate across all industries from 2023 to 2024. Actual total cash compensation and actual total direct compensation growth was mixed. The television industry experienced the highest growth in base salaries.
  • Annual short-term incentives paid as a percent of target for executive and middle management levels decreased from 2023.
  • Positions in Administrative Assistance, Accounts Payable, Archives, Benefits and Creative Design experienced material base salary growth year over year.
