The 2021 Croner Software Games Survey will be launched on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Industry professionals will gather virtually to plan for the jobs to be covered in this year’s compensation survey of the software gaming industry. The annual Survey planning meeting is for human resources and compensation professionals from companies developing and/or publishing games. All gaming platform types are included: mobile, social, console, PC, handheld, MMO, cloud, virtual reality and casino games.

The planning meeting format will include:

• Presentation by Croner Company CEO Hali Croner sharing the latest compensation trends in the North America software games industry.
• Determination of the jobs to be included in the Survey for 2021, to reflect changes in the industry.
• Roundtable discussion of current challenges and hot topics for industry HR professionals, including permanent remote work and geographic pay differentials.

The Survey has provided market data for pay for industry-specific jobs for 30 years. Using feedback from software gaming company participants, the survey scope and content has evolved each year to reflect current conditions within the gaming industry.

Companies use the Survey Results throughout the year to gain insight into trends. Compensation professionals use the Croner data to create pay structures and to be informed about market rates for new hires, promotions, bonuses and talent retention.

A companion compensation survey, the Croner Software Games Survey – International, provides data on positions located in the U.K. and selected other countries in Europe and Asia. It invites the participation of companies headquartered in North America and in Europe.
