The 2019 Croner Entertainment Survey will be launched on Thursday, April 11, 2019, when entertainment companies will gather at Warner Bros. Entertainment in Burbank, California to plan the content for this year’s compensation survey of the entertainment industry. This annual Survey planning meeting, conducted by The Croner Company, is attended by compensation and HR executives from large film studios, small film studios and companies producing content distributed in theaters or across television and digital networks.

The Survey evolves each year to reflect entertainment jobs in the changing entertainment industry, directly from input from the attendees of planning meetings. For instance, in 2017, the Survey was expanded to include music industry jobs. Survey results now include data for positions in Music Development, Music Production, Music Analysis and Curation, Music Sales and Distribution and Music Legal and Business Affairs.

The planning meeting will include:

  • Presentation by CEO Hali Croner sharing the latest compensation trends in the entertainment industry.
  • Determination of the positions to be included to keep the Survey relevant.
  • Roundtable discussion of current challenges and hot topics for industry HR professionals.
  • Hosted cocktail hour and dinner for lively networking and conversation.

The Survey results report competitive pay practices for studio production and content distribution positions in the U.S. Participant companies use the Survey to gain insight into trends, to create rational pay structures and to stay well informed about going market rates for new hires, promotions, bonuses and talent retention.
